The Touch ID Warning You Should Hear Before the Repair
If your iPad has a Home button with Touch ID and that button is damaged, Touch ID cannot be restored with a new button. The button is paired to the board at the factory. Any replacement will click and work as a Home button, but the fingerprint reader will not come back.
That is an Apple design decision, not a limitation of our workshop, and it applies at every repair centre including Apple’s own. We tell you before the repair rather than after. If a center quotes you a Touch ID fix on a damaged button without explaining this, ask more questions.

My iPad battery is swollen and the screen is lifting. Is that dangerous?+
It needs attention. A swollen lithium battery keeps expanding and can crack the screen or damage the board. Stop charging it, keep it somewhere cool, and bring it in. Do not press the screen back down.
Do you repair the iPad Pro with M4?+
Yes. The newest Pro models are harder to open and the OLED panels are expensive, so the price is higher and the diagnosis matters more. Call to confirm current part availability for your model.
