Apple Device Freezing and Crashing Repair
Apple Device Freezing and Crashing Repair in Bangalore
A device that freezes is not the same as one that crashes, and telling us which yours does helps a great deal. Freezing means everything stops and nothing responds. Crashing means an app quits or the whole device restarts itself.
Both usually come from one of four places: storage that is failing or full, memory that is faulty or short, heat, or software that has become corrupted. All four are testable, and most of the time only one of them needs new parts.

What you are dealing with
Different symptoms point at different causes, so notice which of these matches yours.
- The spinning wheel appears constantly and everything stops
- Apps quit unexpectedly, often the same one every time
- The screen fills with a message telling you to restart
- It freezes when you open a large file or several apps
- The fans get loud and then everything hangs
- Startup takes minutes when it used to take seconds
- It freezes and only a forced shutdown gets it back
- It is fine after a restart and gets worse through the day
The four usual culprits
A full drive is the most common and the easiest to overlook. Apple systems need free space to work in. Once you drop below roughly ten percent free, the device slows badly and then starts hanging. People fill storage gradually over years and never connect the two.
Failing storage comes next. An old spinning hard disk or a worn SSD produces exactly this pattern: long pauses, freezes, apps that will not open. Drive health can be read in minutes and it is always the first thing we check.
Memory is third. Faulty memory causes crashes that look random and name no particular app. Not enough memory causes constant swapping to storage, which feels like freezing. On the models where memory can still be upgraded, this is often a cheap and dramatic improvement.
Heat is fourth and it is very common in this city. Dust packs into fans and vents over a few years, the device cannot shed heat, the processor throttles hard and eventually the whole thing hangs. A clean and fresh thermal paste transforms these machines.
What is involved and how long it takes
Cheapest and most likely first, which is how diagnosis should always run.
- Storage health and free space. Drive health, error counts and how much room the system actually has to work in. This alone explains a good share of the devices we see.
- Memory test. A proper memory test, run long enough to catch intermittent faults rather than a quick pass that proves nothing.
- Thermal inspection. Opening it up to see how much dust is in the fans and heatsink, and what condition the thermal paste is in.
- Software and log review. Crash reports name the offending app or driver surprisingly often, and that saves everybody time and money.
- Repair and soak test. Whatever the fix turns out to be, the device then runs under heavy load for hours before it goes back to you.
What is involved and how long it takes
Some of these cost very little. A dust clean and new thermal paste is a small job that makes an older Mac feel years younger, and we do a lot of them.
You get the price after the diagnosis and before any work starts.
| Job | What it involves | Time needed |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnosis | Storage, memory, heat and logs all checked | Free, same day |
| Fan clean and thermal paste | Dust cleared, old paste replaced with fresh | Same day |
| Memory upgrade or replacement | On models where the memory is not soldered | Same day |
| SSD upgrade or replacement | New drive fitted and your data moved across | 1 to 2 days |
| System rebuild with data kept | Clean install, then your data restored | 1 day |
| Logic board repair | Failed component repaired under a microscope | 3 to 5 days |
Parts and warranty
Twelve months on parts and work. Upgrades to storage or memory carry the same cover as a repair.
We never wipe a device to make a problem disappear without telling you. Your data gets backed up first and you get asked before anything is erased.
Why bring it to us
A lot of devices brought here for freezing need a clean and an SSD, not a replacement. Being told your five year old Mac has years left in it is not what most shops will say, because it earns them less.
Free diagnosis, genuine parts, free pickup and drop anywhere in Bangalore, twelve month warranty and a written bill.
Questions people ask
Should I just buy a new one?
Often not. An SSD and a memory upgrade on an older Mac changes the machine completely, for a fraction of a replacement. We will tell you honestly when something is genuinely finished.
How do I know if my drive is failing?
Long pauses, freezing when opening files, clicking noises on an older hard disk, or files that go missing. Drive health takes minutes to read and we do it free.
Will adding memory help?
It helps a lot if you run many apps at once and the device is swapping to storage constantly. On models where the memory is soldered it is not possible, and we will tell you which yours is.
Is a dust clean really worth it?
In Bangalore, yes, and more than people expect. Machines that arrive throttling badly and hanging under load often leave running properly after a clean and fresh paste.
Will I lose my files?
No. Storage work includes moving your data across. Even where a drive is failing, we recover what is on it before replacing it.
My phone freezes rather than my Mac. Same causes?
Partly. Full storage and failing storage apply just the same. Heat and memory matter less. We check storage first on a phone or tablet because it is nearly always the answer.
Book it in
Tell us whether it freezes or crashes and roughly when it happens. That one detail narrows it down fast, and the diagnosis is free either way.
