Apple Charging Issues Repair in Bangalore

Charging trouble is the fault we see most often across every Apple device we handle, and it is the one people live with longest. Most owners carry a cable everywhere for months before getting it looked at.

The frustrating part is that a charging problem has around six possible causes and they are indistinguishable from the outside. Battery, port, cable, charger, software, or the charging circuit on the board. Guessing costs money. Testing costs nothing here, and it is the only way to know which one you have.

Call +91 98451 28045 for a free check. We collect from anywhere in Bangalore and drop it back, at no extra cost.

What you are probably seeing

Any of these point at a charging fault rather than simple battery wear.

  • It only charges when the cable sits at one particular angle
  • The percentage jumps about, from 40 down to 8 and back up
  • It charges from one charger and refuses another
  • The device gets warm near the port while plugged in
  • The charging symbol appears and disappears repeatedly
  • It stops at a certain percentage and will not go past it
  • It charges only when switched off
  • On a Watch, it will not sit properly on the charger any more

What is usually behind it

On anything with a port, dust and lint packed inside is the biggest single cause. It builds up over a year or two, stops the connector seating properly, and looks exactly like a dead battery. Cleaning it out costs very little and solves a surprising share of the devices brought to us.

The cable is next, and specifically a cheap one. A poor cable charges slowly, charges intermittently, or pushes voltage that damages the charging circuit over time. If the trouble began after you bought a replacement cable from a roadside shop, that is very likely your answer.

Then it gets more serious. A battery past its useful cycle count holds less and behaves oddly. A failed charging component on the board refuses power altogether. Liquid can corrode the port pins months after the spill, which is why some people cannot connect the fault to anything they did.

Apple Watch is the exception with no port at all. There the usual causes are a dirty back sensor, a failing charging puck, or a magnetic alignment problem, and the puck is the cheapest thing to rule out.

What is involved and how long it takes

The aim is to find the cheapest fix that actually works rather than replacing parts until it stops.

  1. Free diagnosis. Battery health and cycle count, port tested under load, known good cables and chargers tried, and the device logs read. About twenty minutes and it costs nothing.
  2. The cause and the price, upfront. Before anything is opened you hear what is wrong, what it costs and how long it takes. If the answer is a port clean, we say so rather than selling you a battery.
  3. The repair. Port cleaning, port replacement, battery replacement or board level work on the charging circuit, depending on what the testing found.
  4. Full charge cycle testing. A complete charge cycle before it leaves, on more than one charger, checking that the device reports its battery correctly.
  5. Back to you. Collect it, or we drop it back anywhere in Bangalore at no charge, with a bill and the warranty in writing.

What is involved and how long it takes

The price depends entirely on which of the causes it turns out to be, which is exactly why the diagnosis comes first and is free. A port clean and a board repair are nowhere near the same job.

You get the figure before we start and nothing is added afterwards.

Job What it involves Time needed
Free diagnosis Battery, port, cable and charger all tested, logs read About 20 minutes
Charging port cleaning Compacted lint removed with the correct tools About 30 minutes
Charging port replacement Port assembly replaced and the device resealed Same day to 2 days
Battery replacement Old cell removed, new one fitted and calibrated Same day to 2 days
Charging circuit board repair Failed component repaired under a microscope 2 to 4 days

Parts and warranty

Up to twelve months warranty on parts and work. If the same fault returns inside that period, bring it back and we deal with it.

One honest note. If the device is still covered by Apple warranty or AppleCare+, go to Apple first. An independent repair can affect that cover on the parts involved, and we would rather tell you than take the job.

Why bring it to us

We repair at component level where it makes sense. Plenty of shops replace the whole board because it is faster for them and dearer for you. Repairing the charging circuit itself takes longer and usually costs a fraction of the price.

Free diagnosis, free pickup and drop across Bangalore, genuine parts and a written bill. You can also walk into the Marathahalli workshop and watch the testing happen.

Questions people ask

Is it the battery or the port?

Only a test tells you. If battery health reads above 85 percent and it charges at an angle, it is the port. If health is under 80 percent and the percentage jumps around, it is the battery. We check both before quoting.

How long does it take?

Port cleaning takes about half an hour. Port and battery replacements run from same day to two days depending on the device. Board level work takes two to four days because it needs proper bench time.

Will I lose my data?

No. Charging repairs do not touch storage. We still suggest backing up before handing over any device, simply as a habit worth having.

My Apple Watch will not charge. Same causes?

Not quite, because there is no port. It is usually a dirty sensor on the back, a failing charging puck, or the magnets not aligning. The puck is the cheapest thing to rule out and we test it first.

Can you fix it if liquid got in?

Often yes, though corrosion on the port pins may have spread further inside. We clean and inspect the board first, then give you an honest view on whether it is worth repairing.

Do you use genuine parts?

Yes. And we tell you plainly if a compatible part is the sensible option on an older model where the original is no longer made.
